Privacy Policy

NeckScore is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and your data stays on your iPhone.

No accounts

NeckScore does not require or offer account creation. We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information through the app.

Your photos

Scan photos are stored only on your device, inside the app's private container. Deleting the app deletes them.
When a scan is scored, the photo is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our scoring service, which forwards it to an AI provider (Anthropic) solely to assess neck musculature.
The photo is never stored on our servers, never logged, and never used to train AI models. It exists server-side only for the seconds needed to produce the score, then it is gone.

Measurements and results

Your scores, measurements, training history, and any tape measurements you enter are stored locally on your device. We have no copy. Deleting the app, or using Settings → Delete All Data inside the app, removes them permanently.

Analytics

We collect anonymous usage events (for example: "a scan was completed", "onboarding step viewed") through PostHog, hosted in the EU. These events are tied to a random identifier generated on first launch — not to your identity — and contain no photos, no scores' imagery, and no personal information. We use them only to understand which features are used. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell data to anyone.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Manage or cancel in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We run no push-notification servers.

Age

NeckScore scores adults only. The scoring system refuses to score anyone who appears to be a minor, and the app is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
